К северу города на великах!

Хоть в самом Тайбэе не прям супер инфраструктура для великов, но город пытается пересадить на них людей. Арендовать их тут достаточно просто - в каждом районе есть стоянки с великами за копеечные 30ntd(1$)/час.
Мы решили угнать парочку и сгонять в самый северный район города, до куда доведено метро. Хоть в финальной точке нашего маршрута и нет ничего сверхвыдающегося, зато маршрут до туда - чистый кайф. Вдоль всей реки проложена выделенная полоса только для велосипедистов и можно гнать практически не оглядываясь, наблюдая, как пролетающие пейзажи города меняется на поля, а поля - на горы. Погода в этот день нам благоволила. Было облачно, но кататься в +17 все же приятней, чем в +29)

Biking north of the city!

Although Taipei doesn't have a great cycling infrastructure, the city is trying to encourage people to use bicycles. Renting them here is quite easy - there are bike parking stations in every district for a mere 30NTD (1 USD) per hour.
We decided to borrow a couple of bikes and ride to the northernmost district of the city, where the metro line ends. Although there's nothing particularly outstanding at the end of our route, the journey there is pure joy. A dedicated bike lane runs along the entire river, and you can ride almost without looking back, watching the cityscapes change to fields, and the fields to mountains. The weather was favorable to us that day. It was cloudy, but riding in +17 degrees is still more pleasant than in +29 degrees!
