Также респект городу за озеление речных каналов. Как понимаю, это общая практика в Тайване, так как в Тайбэе мы видели похожую историю - вдоль всей набережной главной реки создана природноохраняемая зона, куда запрещён въезд всему транспорту, кроме велосипедов.

Казалось бы задача несложная, но на примере Бангкока я понимаю, что не для всех городских властей идея озеленения кажется очевидной. Хотя я думаю всем нам было бы приятней ходить по вымощенной дорожке вдоль заросшего деревьями канала, нежели по трассе вдоль речки-вонючки

Also, kudos to the city for greening the river channels. As I understand, this is a common practice in Taiwan, as we saw a similar story in Taipei - a nature-protected zone has been created along the entire bank of the main river, where all transport, except bicycles, is prohibited from entering.

It might seem like a simple task, but based on the example of Bangkok, I understand that the idea of greening the channels doesn't seem obvious to all city authorities. However, I think we would all prefer to walk along a paved path alongside a tree-lined canal rather than a road alongside a stinky river.
