While landing at Mumbai Airport, I once again noticed an annoying fact - it's almost impossible to get a sense of the country you've arrived in through airports. Although they're all different, most of them are concrete, metal, and glass structures with long corridors and monotonous shops selling all kinds of crap. If you take a random photo inside an airport, it's almost impossible to tell which country you're in (except for the signs in the local language).
Probably the coolest airport I've ever been to and that I clearly remember is the airport on Samui Island. It at least somewhat conveys the tropical vibe of Thailand. It's an international airport, by the way! I once flew from there to Hong Kong and Singapore.
In the photo, it's the gate for the landing flight.
