При всем при этом, дороги в Тайбэе очень хороши. Как будто импортированы из Японии.

А вот тротуары к сожалению все
ещё есть не везде, что конечно же позор. Да и там где есть, нередки случаи, когда какой-нибудь дед поставит поперёк свой прилавок. Или долбоебы припаркуют свои мопеды. Мысль может звучать до боли примитивно, но человек не должен испытывать мозговую нагрузку, идя по тротуару и обходя всякий хлам, или выходить на дорогу, где его может переехать мопедчик.

Ситуация в городе исправляется вместе с тем, где появляются новые дома (внезапно застройщик строит тротуары лучше городских властей). Но таких домов все ещё от силы процентов 20. А так в некоторых районах получше (север), на юге и в старых районах New Taipei - до сих пор полная жопа.

Потуги проложить велодорожки краской по плитке выглядят смешно. С таким подходом лучше бы даже не пытались, хоть не стыдно было бы

Despite all this, the roads in Taipei are very good. It's as if they were imported from Japan.

Unfortunately, sidewalks are still not everywhere, which is of course a shame. And even where they are, it's not uncommon to find some old man setting up his stall across them. Or idiots parking their mopeds. It might sound painfully primitive, but a person shouldn't have to mentally struggle while walking on the sidewalk and dodging all the clutter, or having to step onto the road where they might get run over by a moped driver.

The situation in the city is improving as new buildings are built (suddenly, developers are building better sidewalks than the city authorities). But such buildings still only account for about 20% of the total. In some areas, it's better (in the north), but in the south and the old districts of New Taipei, it's still a complete mess.

The attempts to paint bike lanes on the pavement look ridiculous. With this approach, they might as well not even try, so they wouldn't have to be embarrassed about it.
