A short series of reflection posts.

A short series of reflection posts.

Yesterday, I actually graduated from university (with a bachelor's degree), defending my thesis. I didn't feel any particular emotions, probably just relief that I wouldn't have to spend any more time on it or stress about tight deadlines. I think 90% of all my nerves over the past 4 years were killed by studying at university.

That said, I didn't actually spend much time on it. Quite the opposite. My studies coincided with the COVID pandemic, and we were immediately sent to remote learning. Then there was the mobilization, and some people simply left Russia (with their families or on their own). Many of them eventually returned, but the university immediately accommodated those who weren't in Russia, allowing them to switch to remote learning, for which I'm very grateful. I took advantage of this and ended up not attending the university building at all for the past 3 years. Instead, I had online classes on Zoom, but I didn't even attend those either.

Studying in general was a bit of a joke, as most subjects could be passed without knowing anything at all. Sometimes you just had to put together a presentation, sometimes take a test, sometimes write a few programs, relying on Google and general knowledge. The only thing I actually spent decent time on was my coursework and thesis. And in my case, "decent time" meant a couple of weeks of work.

In general, I had a lot of free time, which I devoted to work and travel. I started working right from my first year, was full-time by my second year, and by my third year, I had enough money to travel to any country without going into debt. It was around this time that the channel you're currently reading was created😁
