Expenses for the first month of living in Canada
For the entire month, I meticulously entered figures into a spreadsheet to understand the cost of living here. Especially for me, who's used to eating out at restaurants while traveling and not really wanting to change this tradition.

The total household expenses at the moment are 1750 C$/month (1300$ / 116k rubles). And this doesn't even include many things, because I don't have permanent housing yet. So it's likely to be even more.

Expenses by category:

- food 1116 C$ ~ 821$ ~ 74k rubles (1-2 meals a day in cafes or restaurants)

- alcohol 257 C$ ~ 189$ ~ 17k rubles (4 trips to the bar + a beer on occasion)

- transport 165 C$ ~ 121$ ~ 11k rubles (1 trip here costs 3.3 C$ ~ 2.43$ ~ 218 rubles)

- 20GB mobile internet 38.42 C$ ~ 28.26$ ~ 2.5k rubles (mobile operators here are almost the worst in the world)

The rest of the expenses were minor, I don't see the point in counting them. The biggest upcoming expense is rent, which I'll calculate separately.
