Если вы захотите выбраться за пределы Мюнхена, но идея ехать 3 часа до Нойшванштайна вам не прельщает, есть гораздо более исторически значимая альтернатива.

От центрального вокзала за час можно добраться до небольшого города, именуемого Дахау. Думаю, вы уже догадались, что именно в нем располагался один из печально известных концентрационных лагерей нацистской Германии.

Лагерь Дахау не был самым большим, однако существовал с самого основания режима, 1933 года. Изначально в него свозили политических преступников, но в ходе войны он многократно расширялся, и на пике содержал до 50'000 человек, даже не смотря на то, что был рассчитан всего на 5 тысяч.

Сейчас здесь располагается музей, рассказывающий об истории лагеря и нацистского режима. Также сохранилось двое бараков, которые, хоть и с трудом, но позволяют понять, в каких условиях приходилось жить заключенным.
Но большая часть лагеря была снесена, что может, и к лучшему.

If you want to explore beyond Munich, but the idea of driving three hours to Neuschwanstein doesn't appeal to you, there's a much more historically significant alternative.

From the central station, you can reach a small town called Dachau in an hour. I'm sure you've already guessed that this is where one of the infamous concentration camps of Nazi Germany was located.

The Dachau camp wasn't the largest, but it existed from the very beginning of the regime in 1933. Initially, it housed political prisoners, but during the war, it was repeatedly expanded and at its peak held up to 50,000 people, even though it was designed to hold only 5,000.

Now, there's a museum here that tells the story of the camp and the Nazi regime. Two barracks have also been preserved, which, although difficult to comprehend, allow us to understand the conditions in which the prisoners had to live.
However, most of the camp has been demolished, which might be for the best.
