Первые впечатления от прибытия в даунтаун - ну очень похожая среда на Торонтовскую, откуда я прилетел.

Никакого европейского наследия как в Монреале, только американсая классическая архитектура вперемешку с офисным новоделом. Ну может только чуть почище, если мой глаз ещё не приелся.

Но одно отличие конечно есть - вдоль авеню видно пролив, море, и горы! Ох, как этого мне не хватало на востоке Канады, вы бы знали!

My first impressions upon arriving in downtown Vancouver are that the environment is very similar to Toronto, where I came from.

There's no European heritage like in Montreal, just American classic architecture mixed with modern office buildings. Well, maybe it's just a bit cleaner, if my eyes haven't gotten used to it yet.

But there's one difference, of course - along the avenue, you can see the strait, the sea, and the mountains! Oh, how I missed this in eastern Canada, you'd be surprised!
