Of course, people go to #Vancouver for the nature.

Of course, people go to #Vancouver for the nature. The west coast of America is truly unique, with endless expanses of dense mountainous coniferous forests, and not going for at least a couple of hikes would just be unrealistic.

My friend and I first chose the Grouse Grind Trail. This is one of the most popular routes north of the city, which can be completed in just one and a half to two hours.

There's one nuance - an 800-meter ascent over 2.5 kilometers, which means almost constant climbing, like up a staircase :) Add to this that August in Vancouver is as hot as everywhere else (+30), and you get a decent physical workout, which can take its toll on many by the end. But it's worth it!
