Одним из лучших моих решений в моей последней поездке было отмечать Новый Год в #Берлин'е. В Канаде это абсолютно тухлый праздник, а вот в Берлине наоборот это повод превратить город на день в поле боевых действий... Ну, в относительно хорошем смысле😅

Буквально с вечера 31-го числа и до утра 1-го числа, из всех окон города слышны взрывы феервеков. Власти пытаются бороться с этим, но можно сказать безуспешно. Апогея сие действо достигает в полночь, когда вместо с официальными салютами весь город накрывает дым от феервеков местных энтузиастов, да так, что на час качество воздуха становится чуть ли не худшим во всем мире😆

Конечно, многие местные недовольны такой анархией, это их право. Но блин, как эффектно это выглядит со стороны!

One of my best decisions on my last trip was to celebrate New Year's Eve in #Berlin. In Canada, it's a pretty dull holiday, but in Berlin, it's the opposite - it's an opportunity to turn the city into a battlefield for a day... Well, in a relatively good way 😅

From the evening of the 31st to the morning of the 1st, explosions from fireworks can be heard from all the city's windows. The authorities are trying to combat this, but it's been unsuccessful so far. The climax of this spectacle reaches its peak at midnight, when instead of official fireworks, the whole city is covered in smoke from the fireworks of local enthusiasts, so much so that for an hour, the air quality becomes almost the worst in the entire world 😆

Of course, many locals are unhappy with this anarchy, and that's their right. But damn, it looks so spectacular from the outside!
