Я люблю прикольные девелопменты на основе исторической архитектуры, и недалеко от центра можно найти как раз такой.

Chijmes - бывший католический монастырь, построенный аж в середине 19 века. В 1930-80х побыл женской школой, но в 90х начал ветшать, что заставило властей Сингапура провести реновацию, и переоборудовать во что-то более коммерционализированное.

Так что теперь здесь совмещены фудкорт, банкетный зал, и отреставрированные здания бывшего монастыря. Местные приходят сюда провести свадьбу, ну или просто пофоткаться)

I love cool developments based on historical architecture, and you can find just such a place not far from the city center.

Chijmes is a former Catholic monastery, built all the way back in the mid-19th century. From the 1930s to the 1980s, it served as a girls' school, but in the 1990s, it began to deteriorate, prompting the Singapore authorities to renovate it and convert it into something more commercialized.

So now, it combines a food court, a banquet hall, and the restored buildings of the former monastery. Locals come here to hold weddings or just to take photos.
