Немного про ценники на базовые вещи

Зашёл в 7-Eleven - чаи по $3! Это в три раза дороже, чем в Таиланде/Тайване/Японии. Да за эти деньги уже в Канаде можно импортный найти!

Я конечно нашёл аналог по скидке за $1.7, но как факт - даже утолить базовую потребность в воде в тропиках может быть недёшево.

Ещё что заметил - в этнических районах есть частные ларьки, там продают тоже самое дешевле, но только за кеш. В общем, все мы едины в обходе налогов)

A bit about the price tags on basic items

I went into a 7-Eleven - teas for $3! That's three times more expensive than in Thailand/Taiwan/Japan. For that money, you could already find imported ones in Canada!

Of course, I found a similar product on sale for $1.7, but the fact is that even satisfying the basic need for water in the tropics can be expensive.

Another thing I noticed - in ethnic districts, there are private stalls that sell the same things cheaper, but only for cash. In general, we're all united in evading taxes!)
