#HongKong
My overall impression of the country and the city is rather positive. It's interesting to come here to hang out, enjoy the food and nature, and maybe even work here, but unfortunately, I don't see a long-term future for myself in Hong Kong.

I came to Hong Kong after Seoul, which I really enjoyed (most of my expectations were met), so in my mind, I keep comparing these two cities.
- In Hong Kong, the tropical climate is evident in the vegetation, the weather, and the construction methods. Unfortunately, you can't get rid of dampness and mold. It's easier to demolish and rebuild houses here, which explains the unique architecture. In Korea, apartment buildings look neater and newer. The aesthetics of the streets are important. And it's more pleasant to live in a nice house.
The weather in Hong Kong in the summer drives you indoors, because even at a temperature of 27 degrees with such high humidity, going to the mountains would make you completely soaked within an hour. I just can't handle that - I want to walk around for at least a few hours.
- Hong Kong is small. I mean, it's a decent size in itself, but for some reason, I didn't enjoy walking outside the island and didn't feel like going anywhere else. In Seoul, there were many parks, even if they weren't very large, and areas with high-rise buildings were interspersed with the typical 2-3 story Korean buildings. You could just take a random train station and it would be interesting to walk around and explore.
- Hong Kong is more depressing. There's a feeling that all the excitement is mainly for expats and tourists. Maybe I just didn't find the local vibe, but in Korea, it was much easier to do that, and the locals there seemed much more cheerful. In fact, the happiness index generally agrees with me.
