I'll also say a few words about the progressive side of #Singapore:

The city has introduced very strict standards for the quality of new commercial buildings, requiring eco-friendly construction and offsetting emissions through greening initiatives.

And I have to say, developers are doing a pretty good job with this! Walking around the city center, you can see many skyscrapers where the jungle literally blends into the concrete. In terms of building aesthetics, this is definitely a plus for Singapore.

But of course, all of this is more of a PR stunt than a significant contribution to city cleanliness. You can't just plant flower beds and eliminate the effect of a highway baking in the sun.
Singapore still hasn't come up with the idea of narrowing its roads yet.
