Меня удивило, что для города своего размера, у Хиросимы немало 20-30 этажных зданий, и даже несколько 50 этажных!

Думаю, география играет роль, и высокая плотность обусловлена горами, ограничивающими город со всех сторон. Ну и так как центр был уничтожен в 1945, застройку можно было начинать с по факту чистого листа.

Но не могу сказать, что высотные дома образуют какой-то единый центр как в Осаке или Нагойе. Часто отдельные кондо стоят посреди весьма стандартных 3-6 этажных домиков

I was surprised to see that, for a city of its size, Hiroshima has quite a few buildings with 20-30 floors, and even a few with 50 floors!

I think geography plays a role, and the high density is likely due to the mountains that surround the city on all sides. Also, since the city center was destroyed in 1945, development could essentially start from scratch.

However, I can't say that the high-rise buildings create a unified center like in Osaka or Nagoya. Often, individual high-rise buildings stand amidst quite ordinary 3-6 story houses.
