Около вокзала наткнулся на местный golden gai. Улочки тут как в Синдзюку, только масштаб поменьше.

Такие места лучше передают ту самую ночную Японию, с изакаями и микро-ресторанами, куда вмещается от силы пять человек.

Я решил зайти в итальянский, так как уже немного подустал от азиатской кухни после Китая. Внутри - пара посетителей, и японский дедок, который готовит всё прямо в метре от гостей. Вот такой получился ужин!

Near the station, I stumbled upon a local "golden gai." The streets here are similar to Shinjuku, but on a smaller scale.

Places like this really capture that quintessential Japanese nightlife, with izakayas (Japanese pubs) and tiny restaurants that can only seat a handful of people.

I decided to go into an Italian restaurant, as I was a little tired of Asian cuisine after my trip to China. Inside, there were just a couple of customers, and an elderly Japanese man who was cooking everything right in front of them, just a meter away. That's what dinner was like!
