Так сложилось, что #Кобе богат на неяпонскую архитектуру. Во второй половине 19 века для ведения торговли в городе было основано иностранное поселение. Вместе с ним в Кобе появились и дома, типичные для Европы или Америки.

На фото можно увидеть зеленый двухэтажный деревянный дом - это бывшее консульство сша. На той же улице стоит не менее красивый кирпичный дом с флюгелем - это бывшая резиденция немецкого предпринимателя Готфрида Томаса.

Сейчас большинство зданий - это небольшие музеи, показывающие быт той эпохи. Но в некоторых можно остановиться, как в бутик отеле!

It so happens that Kobe boasts a wealth of non-Japanese architecture. In the second half of the 19th century, a foreign settlement was established in the city to facilitate trade. Along with it, houses typical of Europe or America also appeared in Kobe.

In the photo, you can see a green, two-story wooden house – it used to be the U.S. consulate. On the same street stands another beautiful brick house with a weather vane – it was the former residence of the German entrepreneur Gottfried Thomas.

Nowadays, most of these buildings are small museums that showcase the lifestyle of that era. But in some, you can even stay overnight, like in a boutique hotel!
