#Квебек все же остаётся городом северной Америки, и почти каждый город здесь пострадал в 70-х от карательной застройки и автомобилизации.
В центр города здесь был проведён многополосный хайвей, а целые кварталы исторической застройки уничтожены, и заменены на безликие бетонные офисные небоскрёбы.
Не хочу сказать, что хайвеи или офисы не нужны, но ломать ради этого историческую застройку, когда вокруг бескрайние поля и сабурбии - верх дебилизма "урбанистов" 20-го века.

#Quebec, after all, remains a city in North America, and almost every city here suffered in the 70s from punitive development and motorization.
A multi-lane highway was built through the city center, and entire blocks of historical buildings were destroyed and replaced with faceless concrete office skyscrapers.
I'm not saying that highways or offices are not needed, but destroying historical buildings for this purpose, when there are vast fields and suburbs all around, is the height of "urbanist" idiocy from the 20th century.
