#Будапешт - прекрасный и ужасный. Так хочется описать первые впечатления от города.

Разбалованный инфраструктурой и чистотой западной Европы (и даже можно вписать туда Польшу!), Будапешт застал меня врасплох, и показался чем-то из ряда вон выходящим, будто микс Белграда и Стамбула случайно оказался в стране Евросоюза.

Я поселился в историческом центре по левый берег Дуная, да ещё и в еврейском квартале, что тоже добавило специй в первое впечатление. Тут неимоверно красивые здания, многие из которых могут переплюнуть Парижские, но откровенно грязные улицы, часто раздолбанные тротуары, дороги и куча зданий, нуждающихся в реставрации.

И даже не смотря на все это красота и самобытность города подкупает. Я не люблю строить выводов о городе по первым впечатлениям, поэтому в ближайшие 10 дней буду заниматься его исследованием

#Budapest - beautiful and terrible. I really want to describe my first impressions of the city.

Having been spoiled by the infrastructure and cleanliness of Western Europe (and even including Poland in this!), Budapest took me by surprise and seemed something out of the ordinary, like a mix of Belgrade and Istanbul accidentally ending up in an EU country.

I settled in the historic center on the left bank of the Danube, and even in the Jewish quarter, which also added spice to my first impression. There are incredibly beautiful buildings here, many of which could outshine those in Paris, but the streets are openly dirty, the sidewalks are often in disrepair, the roads are poor, and there are countless buildings in need of restoration.

And even despite all this, the beauty and uniqueness of the city are captivating. I don't like to draw conclusions about a city based on first impressions, so I'll spend the next 10 days exploring it.
