#HongKong
This is also Hong Kong. Just a couple of metro stations away from the supposed city center. It's hard to believe that this city-country has one of the highest GDP per capita in the world?
For the most part, these are old districts, which exist both on the mainland and on the island. People with an income of 1-3 thousand dollars often live in them. For Hong Kong, this is very little, as the rent for a 20-square-meter house already costs ~1 thousand dollars.
When visiting Hong Kong, it's hard not to notice all this. I think that's why the city feels brutal and chaotic to me, but not cozy at all. You can find some aesthetics in it, but it's hard to live next to it.
